Excellent food. The salad bar was tasty. I had the meatloaf special. It was the best I have ever eaten. My husband had the roast beef and amazed by the generous portion and excellent taste. Will definitely stop there again.

My family and I came to visit from the DC area and stopped here for dinner yesterday. We LOVED it. Never had fried perch this delicious. It was the right amount of breading...So we returned today for the same thing and I made sure I got some for the road!

I don't have a good recollection of this place. Entire family went here after our father passed away the night before. So my brain was in a cloud. I know service was very good and light hearted joking took place, which was appreciated to lighten the mood, but sorry I can't say that the food was memorable, though no fault of theirs.

It was over $5 for 3 donuts and 1 was day old, lines to sit and slow service

We enjoy finding little gems like this. Old school home town restaurants. This place has been here for-ever. They serve some homemade soups and salads, good burgers, beer & wine and all the normal diner fixins. The service is even better. Down home people who know how to make you feel part of the community and one of the fam. Make this a stop on your trip when you’re hungry and you won’t regret it.

I liked this local Restaurant. I finally decided to stop in, and try the food. Waitress was great! Customer's fine...until a group of MEN came in, probably the guys day out!!! First thing I heard, looks good 👍 then Women, I see women. This guy was loud, may have had a buzz. I enjoyed my Burger 🍔 and salad bar!! I decided to leave, asked for a large carry out and left. I will try AGAIN! I didn't want to listen, nor stay and eat, my choice, I will return!!😊

A real diamond in the rough. Excellent wet burritos. The ground beef with onions and mushrooms was also great. Couldn't have done any better at home. The staff was also efficient and friendly. I wouldn't probably think of this as a "date night" place but for simple and delicious family dining or as a stop along your drive it can't be beat.

Clean place, cute small town venue, and nice people... but was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. The hashbrowns were very thinly shredded, and tough. Biscuits and gravy just didn't do it for us. :( Ordered scrambled eggs and bacon, ended up with ham and sunnysides.

Wonderful food, extremely friendly staff. It's been a while since I've been there and the waitress remembered us. It was nice.

Ordered biscuit”s” and gravy, got one biscuit that was hard as a rock and canned gravy. Also ordered a Denver omelet with hash browns and toast. Didn’t know theY used cheese from a can, nor did I think their toast would be softer than my bread at home (soggy toast). I called to complain and the server who took my order (and my $3.00 tip, on a carry out) would slam the phone down on me. They should be ashamed!

We waited for 40 minutes for undercooked potatoes and burnt toast. I’m not exaggerating the time, I checked my text timestamps to verify. The scrambled eggs were a chopped up fried egg. The service was not good, the wait staff was just kind of rude and unprofessional. Everything was overpriced. None of the food was salted. If you have the choice you should definitely eat somewhere else.

Yup, looks like this restaurant had been around for a very long time! That's testament to good food and friendly service.Parking is tight but worth the struggle! You walk in and the floors creak and you are instructed to have a seat anywhere.Salad bar sits right in the middle of the restaurant and it's a pretty decent salad bar (I didn't get it but hubby did and enjoyed it).I ordered the Monte Cristo and would definitely recommend this! Swiss cheese melting and oozing out of the sandwich and the shaved ham is delicious.Hubby ordered the chicken Philly and said it was delicious. On the salad bar was chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles...yummy!Refills came quickly and service was always friendly. If you're in this area be sure to stop for some great food.

This restaurant has a history and Standish Michigan of 100 Years of nostalgia original pictures of downtown and around the area has great Ambiance has great home feeling pictures all over the walls and the original music jubox players at every booth, by using the penny nickel or quarter at each and every booth that I have not seen since the 1970s they are more of a Nostalgia of the history but not in working Order, great dishes I have a picture of a one of mine with the hot burrito best I've ever had and then Northern Area yet and I visited a lot of restaurant,02-16-2017 updateI have gone through almost every item on the menu not knowing how great the quality and the huge amount of food that they serv on any dinner plate or any "Daily Special" and I had lived here all of my life and never knew that this food was so fantastic all these years, till one day i began to venture past a hamburger,, All the girls are the best servers ever in this place. 😎

Great food! Had the 4th of July nachos and my partner had the wet burrito! Awesome! All you can eat soup, salad, and pudding bar! Super fresh and mostly homemade!! Jamie was our server she lead us in the right direction with food choices!!

The hot roast beef sandwich was made with REAL roast beef not a process roll of beef. The potatoes that came with it were REAL potatoes not instant. The decor inside was kept ORIGINAL from the 1930s, when it was first opened. I remember going here as a child and I'm now in my 60s...so AWESOME to go back in time!

You can tell it's been there almost 100 years but yet Its clean. The food is good. The servers are friendly.

Food is really good. Waitresses had masks under their noses, only 1 had her nose and mouth covered. 1 waitress takes her mask down to talk and walks around with it under her chin most of the time we were in there. Also, They all were touching their masks constantly with their hands. Didn't notice any hand washing either.

This place has great food and great service. We try and go every Friday, all you can eat fish. Believe it's pollock. Still it's really good. The prices are very reasonable.
